Smith & Cult The Tainted Lip Stained Collection
Smith & Cult The Tainted Lip Stained Collection

It’s a bit of an overstatement to describe the Smith & Cult The Tainted Lip Stained Collection as actual stains in the way that we think of them. There is a very minimal stainy aspect in terms of the product leaving behind a lot of colour on the lip. The shades I have here, Linger Sigh and Sweet Suite are very sheer on colour – it’s more of a shade whisper – but in terms of comfort, these are spot on.

In the swatch, the nearest is Linger Sigh which is quite unusual in a blue toned honey, and Sweet Suite which is more of a standard bubble gum pink. You definitely get more of a colour splash with the pink, while the honey is really barely there. But, what you do get is a non-sticky sheen with a nuance of colour and it has a beautifully moisturising effect. I really like these in terms of wearability, a conditioning feel and high shine look.

The price for each is £20 which is nudging Chanel and Dior and I’m not quite sure I would say I’d part with that for them. If you’re tempted though, they’re HERE.
