Revlon Ultra HD Lipcolor
Revlon Ultra HD Lipcolor

Within the Revlon Ultra HD Lipcolor category, you can go super matte or super glossy – and while these shades launched in March, this is the first time I’ve seen them properly. Wow! If you love your lips absolutely drenched in colour and extreme at either end of the matte/shiny scale, you’re in luck.

I’ve been seeing an awful lot of mattes recently and Revlon’s offering doesn’t do that ‘insta-dry’ thing where you can virtually see your lips contracting under the spell of the mattifying powders. It actually feels like a sheen on the lip when you first put it on and dries to a flexible feeling finish thanks to a gel like formula that’s wax free. If you’re new to mattes, this is a good place to start. The shades I have in that formula are Obsession (first in swatch lineup) and Passion (fourth in swatch line up). If you don’t like flavours to your lip products, you might want to avoid these because it’s a vanilla/mango mashup!

In terms of the Revlon Ultra HD Lipcolor Lacquer – there is no stickiness to this gloss at all. I should look into the missing ingredient from glosses that are sticky and glosses that aren’t – I don’t personally mind a bit of tackiness because I am used to it – but really there is no need for any gloss, it seems, to have any hair catchy sticky element to it. The shades are fully saturated, vibrant colours with a kind of vinyl effect finish that should feel heavier than they do. I’m so impressed with these! In the swatch above, second swatch is Garnet, third is Tourmaline and fifth is Topaz. Tourmaline has an iridescent/golden shimmer to it which on top of an ultra bright pink is amazing in intensity.

The Matte Lip shades currently have £2 off them making them £6.99 HERE. The Lacquers are £7.99 each HERE.
