Even as an experienced fashion fan, the word ‘separates’ strikes fear into my heart. Summer dressing feels so simple, but winter dressing can be so much more interesting. However, as much as you want to nod to a trend you will want to make sure that you find something to suit your personal style and shape. An elegant pussy-bow blouse and A-line skirt may look fabulous in a glossy, but if you add a too-done up-do you are one step away from Mrs. Slocombe. It is all about getting the elements right so that you look fresh and modern.

We have been debating the trouser – can we brave a move from our waxed jeans to full-on leather? It is brave choice, but if you do it, do it well!
