Maybelline Color Drama Lip Paint

This brand is heading only one way for next season – bold! The Maybelline Color Drama Lip Paint is seriously pigmented and even if you don’t think you can do lips this strong, I’ve been using mine to mix with lighter shade glosses to add a bit of oomph. These are sheeny rather than ultra shiny so they make excellent mixer colours. I’ve even put a tiny dot of red into lip balm and created my own wearable red.

Shades from bottom to top are: Red-dy Or Not, Vamped Up, Fight Me Fuchsia, Stripped Down and Never Bare. They’re a little unruly coming out of the tubes as you can see, so you might want to use a lip brush with these.

The Maybelline Color Drama Lip Paint will hit shops late August (although the main stores, Superdrug and Boots are a law unto themselves regarding launch dates so keep an eye out for them from the end of July).

  1. oh I like the look of these! I love the color drama lip pencils, brilliant dupes for the much more pricey Nars x

I’m loving the look of vamped up- it may be summer but I’m always a sucker for a deep purple lip!

  5. Looks very fabulous! My faves are Vamped Up and Fight Me Fuchsia. Maybelline lip products are getting more and more intersting.

  6. These look gorgeous, but I’m worried they’ll be a little too blingy for me. Also, I tend to get bleeding on the lips with some of the darker glosses. My current favourite for bold colours are NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. Super intense colour and no bleeding, ever.
