I love the almost clinical packaging for the Marc Jacobs Spotlight Glow Stick –  if you just saw it on its own I think you’d need several guesses as to what it might contain.

When you take the lid off, it’s just this beautiful moon-struck shade of shimmery white gold and silver blend in a creme block that you can run down your shins or arms – or anywhere really.

It’s not a light catching as some of the glow powder formulas I’ve seen – more of a glisten than a glow as such but with both cool and warm elements to it, it’s good for all complexions except maybe very dark. Even then, I can see it on darker tones as a striking highlighting sheen. More importantly, for a balm like formula, it’s not sticky or oily. I like this for a wintery glow, snow princess vibe with your little black dress but it’s going to be equally at home as a shot of glam on holiday limbs.

I don’t have a UK price on this yet but it’s launching onto Harrods.com this month.
