Marc Jacobs Charlotte Lipstick

So, one day, when I’m a princess, I might get a lipstick named for me! Are there any lipsticks called Jane? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of one. There’s no crown forthcoming so I shan’t hold my breath! But anyway, this is the Marc Jacobs Charlotte Lipstick named for Princess Charlotte of Cambridge and I have to admit (regardless of who it’s created for) it’s pretty spectacular in pay off.

Charlotte is a super-pigmented, just a tad darker than fuchsia, pink that has all the colour saturation of MAC on its best day. If you love a long-last statement lip, I cannot fault this in colour terms. I’ve noticed though, that the Marc Jacobs lipsticks (Charlotte is a creme formula but to be honest, it went matte on me quite quickly) have quite a stubby end – you can’t do your lipstick in the dark with these; the risk of clown is high.

The picture above is one swipe – I haven’t even gone over the swatch so you can see it’s all about the solid, mega-colour finish. I kind of love it and I’m surprised after all the hype that it’s still in stock. It’s £24 HERE.
