MAC Good Luck Trolls

Well, you have to ask yourself what kind of a wild party the MAC A Team was at when they came up with the Good Luck Trolls concept! This is so up my street for being all of the fun but with some strangely tempting (but challenging) colours. MAC Trolls is a limited edition collection that’s launching in August. Above is the only MAC Pigment in the collection – Chartreuse (£17.50) – a frosty green that when you first see it, you think No Way and then when you swatch it, you’re thinking, well… actually….

There are four Lipglass shades: above is Bubble Butt (best name ever)…

..and this one is Twerkquoise. They’re £16.50 each. Not sure I could ask for that one with a straight face.

In the eyeshadow collection, this one is Sun’s Out Buns Out (£14) in a mustard yellow pearl, and there are four other shades.

Midnight Troll is a dark matte blue (£17).

In the swatch above, from bottom to top, it’s Sun’s Out Buns Out shadow, Chartreuse Pigment, Twerkquoise and Bubble Butt Lipglass and Midnight Troll Lipstick.

If the MAC Good Luck Trolls collection brings back happy memories (remember that weird sweet, plastic smell?) from your childhood then I think you’ll love this collection for its silliness and joyfulness. I remember distinctly being absolutely obsessed with trolls – and frustrated that their hair wasn’t really as brushable as I needed it to be to style it… we used to beg my dad to bring home trolls from his trips abroad.

I think the ‘good luck’ part is a re-invention.. I seem to remember them being a bit naughty and cheeky.
