John Lewis has scooped the exclusive on a selection of MAC Look In A Box sets before the main launch on 2nd March at other retailers. I’m often asked about gifts for teens – it never used to happen but the beauty scene has got so busy that nobody can see for looking any more – and I should think that if you happened to buy them one of these you’d literally be favourite godmother, aunt, sister, mum, friend for ever and a day!
I have the Basic Brush Kit here – which is in the next drop on the 2nd March along with several other kits. There is another brush set – the Advanced Brush which is part of the John Lewis stock. Decent brushes are the keys that unlock your makeup application: teens have all the choice when it comes to makeup because the high street is awash with affordable products, but really good brushes are still on the toppy side for a teen budget. Apart from the brush boxes, there are colour boxes – Sweet Miss (pinks), Sun Siren (corals) and Red Rocker (reds) all at £50 HERE and by my reckoning contains over £80 worth of products. I really think these are the ‘can’t go wrongs’ – in fact, stock up for next Christmas!
