Hold everything! I had actually stopped blogging for the day (admin, frantic tidying up before my mum comes to stay, emergency Tesco dash) but when these arrived by courier, I could not wait to blog them! If the L’Oreal Paris La Palette Lips sets haven’t arrived in Boots or Superdrug yet, they will be any day now. I couldn’t find them on-line, although I am pretty sure they are out in the US already.
These palettes remind me of the type of product that you could only ever get in duty free – and these feel just as covetable but they’re certainly not bank breakers at £12.99 each. The shades are a mix of matte, iridescent and satin finishes, although that’s not immediately obvious when you first open the palette.
The texture differences are much easier to spot once they’ve been swatched side by side, but as you can see there is a comprehensive red selection here. I had a little go at the ombre look that is in the main picture – it’s a little bit naughty because I question whether that lip look is achievable with this palette. I did get a very lovely ombre, but not blackened as it appears in the promo.
The nude palette is the same in terms of textural variations, but these are lovely nudes and have actually got me inspired to start using nude lip shades more often again. I used to wear a nude lip a lot, but I’ve gone to the coral side these days.
I feel pretty happy with these palettes – nicely priced, a good way to play with colours and the brush is perfectly decent as well. I will say that the formula doesn’t taste very nice – I have a slightly bitter taste in my mouth (don’t worry, it will go when I add cake 😉 but all in all, I’m very pleased to have them and will use the nude, in particular, going forward.
NB: Have just found them hidden away on Boots.com – they’re HERE. They’re on a 3 for 2 as well!

These look lovely but I am never a fan of lip palettes, I prefer to apply from the bullet and I’m a matte lip girl. The nudes look lovely though x

These would be perfect for travel or to pop into your handbag for girls on the go. Saves me melting all my lipsticks down now!
Ooh *squeaks with excitement* these look like a fun item. Luuurve having lots of lippy colours to experiment with! I think I have seen these in store.. better head back that way soon xx
It’s been a while since I had the sudden blogger-inspired urge to go and buy something immediately, but that is exactly what I just did. I don’t regret it! I’m surprised the palettes are out already (I’m in Germany), because usually it takes ages for all the new stuff to come to us.
Thanks for enabling me XD!

I’m sure there was a third colour option when I spotted these in Superdrug a week or so ago (pinks?). They were all lovely so I couldn’t decide, went back couple of days later so of course out of stock!:(
really? I can’t find them anywhere on line yet which is so annoying!!
Have JUST found them hidden on boots.com – no pink.
I love this palette. I love when products are easy and I can simply throw in my handbag!

Wooow! MUST HAVE!
Hi Jane
I think I thought I’d seen a pinks palette but it must have actually been the nude one – just remember it as much more pinky than caramels (ie as it looks on Loreal’s website). Anyway since that first sighting not been able to find – I hesitated on buying initially as I hadn’t seen them blogged about anywhere!! I needed a bloggers thumbs up!:)
Imagine it in berry colours then that be perfect for me Reds look lovely
I bought the nude version and it is a lovely way to try out nudes and find your perfect custom nude. Sadly, the formula is way to drying for my lips. I believe the American version looks different with only 5 shades.
I really wish they did a purple version!
