I kind of love that beauty brands are seeing their customers as constantly on the go and in need of make up that lasts well past going out or standard working hours. There must have been some research back at the beauty trend labs that found we want make up to last longer, particularly foundation, because there is no other reason that brands suddenly all start bringing out foundations we can keep on longer than our shoes. Once again, it’s a matte finish, sweat and humidity, water and transfer resistant and it promises no oxidization. My favourite Laura Mercier foundation is Candleglow that gives skin a ‘lit’ look so Flawless Fusion could never live up to the flattering glow of that because, like every matte base, it will unglow you completely! If you want glow on matte base you have to add it in afterwards.
Again, this is going to suit your skin if it runs to oily – it’s an oil free formula which contains mica that helps to control oil and promises improved pigments that stay true during wear time. You can build this up very easily to a full coverage (perhaps that’s why there isn’t any SPF in this – if you are already fully covered maybe it isn’t strictly necessary) although I liked it semi-full better than full. It feel smooth on application but you need to go quite quickly because it sets. I can definitely feel it on my skin and maybe it’s the water resistant element, but my complexion felt (very slightly) ‘coated’.
I’ve got two shades here – bottom one is Buff, top is Cashew and there are 18 other shades. I did feel the last was good but when I took it off I am pretty sure that less came off than I put on at the start of the day. It’s already launched at SpaceNK HERE.

I wish there were more truly long lasting foundations that weren’t completely matte. I have extremely oily skin, but it’s as if beauty brands assume women with oily skin only want a matte foundation. I want fresh, glowing skin just as much as anyone else, I just don’t want my makeup to slide off after a few hours. So alhtough this product sounds lovely, I think I will have to keep hunting for my perfect foundation…
Hello Jane! Not related to this post but previously ones .. how do you conpare the new foundation and primer launched from Sensai with the G uerlain Lingerie de Peau Aqua Nude ones?
Best
AL
Actually that’s a good question because they’re quite similar.. I feel that Aqua Nude has more coverage but they both have that very silky, lightweight feel. I’d have to do a side by side to compare longevity etc because it’s hard to keep that information in my head when I’m testing so many. x
Thx for replying! Are anyone in your current rotation or do you have another favourite base in use?
I almost always revert back to L’oreal True Match, Chanel or Burberry x
Which ones from chanel and burberry? Sorry for nosieness….
Les beiges Healthy Glow and Burberry Fresh Glow x
Thx x
Burberry fresh glow is my hg! I actually find the Estee Lauder double wear light or whatever the new ones called very good on longevity without looking ‘matte’. Jane what do you suggest for adding ‘glow’ on top of a matte foundation? I don’t really like powder highlighters that much 🙁
Oh easy – MAC Strobe Cream .. does the trick really well x
