If you love a matte lip, there are treats ahead! Billed as a plumping and hydrating matte, the new Guerlain KissKiss Mattes are quite exceptional in their texture thanks to hyaluronic acid. They feel like air on the lip and although I didn’t find them plumping exactly, the usual instant drying effect just doesn’t happen with these. My lips are super sensitive to anything drying – the usual course of events with matte coverage is that I swipe it on and lo and behold my lips look instantly crinkly and dehydrated. I will never be a matte fan but I would highly recommend the KissKiss Matte for anyone who hasn’t yet found their ideal matte.
Shades I have to show you (from a line up of 9) from bottom to top are: Hot Coral (my favourite), Wild Plum, Spicy Burgundy and Caliente Beige. In their chunky gold cases, which are also matte, these really do feel like such a treat and I found the last to be very good. They’re HERE at Escentual for £24.75 each.
Next up, the Liquid Mattes. So, it turns out that if you also throw a little hyaluronic acid into a liquid matte formula, you get a far more comfortable wear. The Guerlain Liquid Mattes have that silky slip feel on the lip with no hint of dryness. I think in a blind test I wouldn’t know these were a matte finish by the feel on my lips, that even over time, doesn’t start to feel dry. Honestly, they’re so impressive.
I have two shades to show you (above) from the line up of seven but frustratingly their names aren’t on the labels. These are £22.50 each HERE.
And yet more lip action with the KissKiss From Paris Palettes! When Maybelline produced a lip contour palette, I just didn’t like the level of effort involved – it’s a far cry from the swipe of gloss laden doe’s foot – but Guerlain is presenting much the same thing and it actually looks quite enticing in a more luxurious setting. I’m still certain I won’t be ‘contouring’ exactly with these, but I can see myself using them as travel palettes.
There are two colourways – the top picture is Romantic Kiss and the bottom is Passionate Kiss. They’re £39.50 each HERE. I haven’t had a chance to swatch these up yet but they launch today as do all the products shown.

I bought Flashing Rose in the Kiss Kiss today.
Oh and interesting fact. The new liquid matts are actually the old G Rouge ones the colours and numbers match exactly. I brought my two into House of Fraser and compared.
that is interesting! I wish I’d been told that xx
What’s the longevity like on the liquid matted please? (I’m an apply once, forget it kinda girl!)
It’s definitely not that… mind you, mattes don’t last long on me anyway but it’s not a stay all day.
So looking forqard to trying these. Love the regular Kiss Kiss lipsticks!
