Giorgio Armani Sepia

All set for an April launch is the Giorgio Armani Sepia collection inspired by Sepia photography. I have a few GA updates in this post, but I’ll kick off with the Sepia Palette. Clearly a thing of beauty, it’s not really a contour product as stated – I think you’d struggle to contour with this as the lines of deep bronze are just too slender. However, grab a kabuki and give it a swirl and everything changes, turning this into a multi dimensional highlighter to hit cheekbones with light. There is shimmer in this, particularly the deeper shade lines. Although the Sepia palette is gorgeous to look at (with a brush concealed in a hidden drawer at the bottom), unless you are an avid highlighter it may sit a while in your beauty drawer while you work out what to do with it. Especially at a £60 tag.

I am much more excited by the line extension to the Giorgio Armani Ecstacy Lacquer range with this hyper tomato shade, that’s currently only identifiable by number – 300.

It’s already on sale and is an absolute ringer, in lip version, to the summer Chanel shade in Espadrilles. Its £27 HERE.

Another line extension that had me at hello is this sheer red lipstick from the Rouge D’Armani Sheer Lipstick collection. Us red-shy people long for a lipstick like this that gives a hint of red and plenty of shine without being gloss. It looks like a high pigment red when it appears from the casing, but as you can see is a red shadow on the skin. With natural lip tone underneath, it’s a bigger colour than appears on the arm swatch but it’s pretty near perfect if you suit a blue toned red. I am taking a much closer look at these sheers – I don’t remember seeing them before and yet, they’re exactly my kinda lipstick! The shade above, 400, is £27 HERE.
