Ages ago, I had a bit of a crush on the Max Factor Masterpiece High Precision Liquid Liner because of it’s flexible, elongated ‘spatula’ shaped tip that makes a perfect line achievable. If you tune in to BBB regularly you’ll know that pen liners are beyond my capabilities – many tragic eyes have happened – but it seems that that specific style of tip is completely manageable; I’m not going to say foolproof because the next thing I know I will have jabbed it in my eye, but it’s a lot, lot easier than the tapered nib. So, I’m very thrilled at the introduction of the Estee Lauder Little Black Liner which has that same nib at one end (I’m ignoring the thin nib.. it won’t end well) and it’s even better.

It honestly is a bit of a thrill when you’ve finally mastered something given the right tools – and the ink is super-black and I’d say a little more fluid than the MF Masterpiece (or maybe it’s because it’s brand new). So, if you’re competent at both thick and thin I think you’ll love this, and if you’re competent at neither, I think you’ll love one end of it!
