Kicking off the day with Dolce & Gabbana Summer Shine is a great start! Dolce & Gabbana make up just seems to get better and better in terms of quality and colour choice. If you’re after luxy polishes, the D&G Lacquers are amazing. So, there are four new shades of which I have two – Sheer 628 and Peachy 117.

Sheer is a glorious, orange toned red that’s leaping with shine while Peachy is has enough down-tones to stay off the traditional pastel spectrum. The other two shades are In Light Blue which is that irrisistible swimming pool blue and Nude Lilac, that requires a particular skin tone to wear well. They’re £20 each.

Next up is the new quad in Brown Blush. I thought I didn’t like it til I swatched it and now I like it a lot! Brown just seems a strange colour to add to a summer collection, but the addition of pink and a terracotta shade brings the palette look to life.

The new duo, however, is alllll about fresh spring and summer looks. It’s called Summer Hue; I’m not sure I can wear it myself although I do love a properly done pink toned lid, but if you’re all about the pastel trend, it’s a good one.

In the swatch, the first four are the new quad, then Blush in Apricot (not new), followed by the new Duo.

I think everyone is most intrigued by the blue lipstick called In Light Blue. The other two shades, Sheer 130 (red) and Shine On (peach) are not new.

I’ve done two sets of swatches – the bottom one is in sunlight (it’s a summer collection after all). I was truly hoping that the blue shade would do something magical but it’s so horrible on the lips it’s almost upsetting! The shade has lots of silver mixed with a kind of baby blue.. I’m kind of speechless. Don’t, is my advice! The peachy shade is similarly awful in that it just shows every crease and crevice on your lips as well as draining any colour from your face. On the up, the red shade, Sheer, is stunning! They’re £25.50 each. You can shop the collection HERE.
