I have never got along with mineral bases, but the new bareMinerals Bare Pro is a little bit different to the tap, swirl, can’t-really-be-bothered original dusty stuff. For a start, you don’t need to get cloudy with powdered minerals because it’s pressed and second, it’s got a 12 hour wear which is unusual for mineral that tends to drift off your face during the day. I will be honest, I haven’t given this a 12 hour run because I just don’t like the feel of mineral on my face but I am wearing it now and it does feel both silky and comfortable.

Under the powder palette, you’ll find a little sponge for touch ups but the idea is to apply with the Core Coverage brush. There are 20 shades from very light to very dark in a mix of warm and cool tones so there’s something for almost everyone. I am never going to be a powder-foundation fan – my skin is just not built for it and I can’t wait to take it off, so it’s difficult to give a fair review on this one, so consider this an information only post! If you love powder bases, it’s a non-heavy, breathable formula that has already launched on Q VC and hits stores on 1st September for £27.
