There is little more under scrutiny at the moment than clean eating, and although Ella has distanced herself from the term, prefering ‘global wellness entrepreneur’, it’s a nervous time for food guru tie-ins. However, since I’ve never followed any kind of similar regime and know little about Ella (apart from the fact I made, like everyone else, the famous sweet potato brownies and threw them in the bin after one bite!) I can only go on what I have in front of me without – and it’s lovely.
The scent is so clean and fresh being predominantly cucumber with a waft of rose (I couldn’t really pick out any lime) and it’s so summery and light in nature. These products are a follow on to the previous products developed with Ella in the same fragrance for the face. I’m sure it’s the cucumber but something about this makes me think of an icy gin and tonic which I normally associate with lemon. The body lotion is light but very much does the job leaving my skin flexible, softened and hydrated – all the things you’d expect – and the Body Wash feels like a treat for a hot day shower.
You can find both on offer (you have to buy both together) HERE for £30 (the Body Wash is £14 and the Lotion is £21) or obviously you can purchase individually (go Body Wash).

I really like the sound of these and I’m a big Neal’s Yard fan. Their products are all mostly good for my super sensitive skin. Also, anything with rose in is a winner in my book. I’ll have to give them a try when I need to stock up next.
I love the scent of these products. The fresh/sharp of the cucumber is perfectly balanced with the sweet/soft of the rose.
Ps. I was amused/interested to see “Clean Eating Alice” (WTAF!) rebrand herself recently to Alice Liveing. Clean is the new dirty?
I didn’t know that – I think there is a big backlash because ‘clean’ somehow has become linked with a negative influence on eating… x
Yes, it’s linked to ‘orthorexia’ which is an obsession with healthy eating. It’s a kind of eating disorder: https://www.nationaleatingdisorders.org/orthorexia-nervosa
I listened to a Grace Dent Radio 4 programme on it on Sunday x
