L’Occitane Verbena Collection

L’Occitane always waits until we’re really, really hot and sticky before launching their limited summer collections. This one is well worth hanging on for because of its absolute burst of cooling lemonade fragrance. Honestly, it’s lovely.

Starting with the Verveine Frappe Body Cream, it’s a super light, verbena infused, whippy cream that has an instant cooling effect. It doesn’t last long, but that moment of ‘ahhh’ is everything on hot skin! L’Occitane suggest keeping it in the fridge which you certainly could do but I’m not sure about slapping ice cold cooling cream onto a hot bod. Unless you don’t mind screaming a bit.

Next up, the Refreshing Exfoliating Sugars. I don’t think there is any mint in this but somehow I imagine I can smell it. It’s so lemony and leaves skin with a light hydrating coating that is softening, too. The sugar pieces are tiny so it’s not a rough exfoliant, but it is effective and melty.

L’Occitane Verbena Collection

A dash of menthol in the Fresh Shower Gel combined with lemony verbena is about as fresh as you’ll get in a shower. It’s quite honestly a burst of joy and what a great start to the day!

Finally, the Light Hand Cream. We all know L’Occitane excels at hand cream, and this is a subtly lighter version that will make your hands smell like you’ve been making lemonade all day.

L’Occitane is so great at these body ranges – they’re treats but just about stay in the affordable category (Body Cream is £20, Exfoliating Sugar is £22, Shower Gel is £16 and Light Hand Cream is £8). My dad is in his 80’s and loves L’Occitane and anything lemony. I know I’m going to have to buy him the shower gel!

The Verbena Limited Edition collection launches in July.
