Clarins Scented Hand Creams

Nobody is marketing harder than Clarins right now – before I even start on this sweet little trio of scented hand creams, they’ve got an offer of four samples worth £32 for orders over £60 and post is free (products are Gentle Peeling Smooth Away Cream 30 ml, Sun Care Cream Moderate Protection UVB/UVA20 30ml, After Sun Moisturizer Ultra-Hydrating 30ml and a Mini BB Cream SPF25 02 Medium. So if you need to stock up now is the time because this is the perfect holiday kit.

Clarins Earth Box

AND, they’ve got a very mysterious beauty box called The Earth Box (£30 HERE) and the mystery is that they won’t say what’s in it. What they will say is that inside you’ll find “A Clarins beauty accessory, a cleansing skincare routine, A day/night duo and a Concentrate of Well Being” with £1 from each box going to an environmental charity. I’ve done my due diligence and googled it so I have seen what’s in it but I’m not going to spoil this unusual way of enticing consumers into the beauty box market, but it does look like it’s the first of an ongoing series of boxes. I don’t think, if you’re a Clarins fan, you will be disappointed.

So, where was I?! Okay.. back to the hand creams. One is Grapefruit Leaf, one is Mandarin Leaf and the other is Lemon Leaf. The important thing to note here is ‘leaf’ because you don’t get a great big blast of fruit, but more of a fresh, green citrussy scent with (to my nose) the lemon leaf being the most strongly scented. I don’t need to say that Clarins do a great hand cream so I’ve got no complaints about any of them and they’re just lovely and fresh.

At the same time, Clarins are bringing a bit of fruit to their Instant Lip Perfectors – juicy balms with a light tint. One sells every 36 seconds across the globe, so I think we could say they do well, thanks really to hyaluronic acid that changes it from a balm into an excellent smoother on top of hydration.

Clarins Scented Hand Creams

These are quite sheer on the lip with just a hint of colour – less than the swatch reflects. The pink is Pink Grapefruit, and the orange shade is Juicy Mandarin. They taste a little bit fruity (and plastic!). Both the Perfectors and the Hand Cream set launch on 2nd July, but if you’re wracking your brains on how to do your £60 spend and get the holiday set, I was sent one of the Eau Dynamisante Gift Sets and I absolutely love it – it comes in a pretty bag with a 100ml Limited Edition Eau Dynamisante and a 10ml travel edition as well. You can find them HERE (image below) for £34 each so if you have summer birthdays to stock up for, they’re definitely crowd pleasers. Whew…. this has turned into a much longer post than I was expecting!
