I find it hard to get excited about handbag mirrors – I don’t carry one but the number of times I actually need one keeps rising! My mum wouldn’t think of leaving the house without one which I think is force of habit from the days when one liberally powdered one’s nose, oily or not. You just did. However, this silver and white mirror from Paul & Joe has a bit more to it, apart from the beautiful silky bag dotted with cats.
The hinge is sturdy so you can stand it up at any angle and turn it into a desk or travel mirror. I know it’s not groundbreaking, but when I opened it, I really thought it was just a flat mirror and it was only when photographing that I realised it’s absolutely perfect for the just-about-to-land moment when everyone is queuing to do their makeup in the plane loo.
