Hello Rebel Nudes! Okay, I can NOT ask the question about these *cough* nude shades that mostly aren’t really nude at all. Or I can ask it. I’m asking.

It’s clever marketing at play here BUT I guess the way you could define them as nudes under the looser terms of the word is as human shades. So, nuances of colour that occur naturally in the human body (freckles, bruises, pigmentation etc). I’m struggling to find even that though in the milky lilac-pink.

Nonetheless, they’re flipping gorgeous! They do that cooling thing on the lip because of the water base – the first swipe is the stain, the second swipe is the gloss. And it really works as well.

If you were in any doubt as to whether they stain, here’s the proof that they absolutely do! They’re just lovely glosses-with-a-twist and while that lilac 108 might be the least likely to fall into the nude category its also one of the most flattering colours on if you like to be on the edgy side. They all feel like gossamer on the lips and I’d highly recommend as a pre-weekend treat. They’re launching nationwide in September.
