We’re still very firmly in lip balm weather so these new Weleda tinted balms are perfectly timed. I like the fact that, true to their brand, they’ve stuck with nature inspired shades which means they’re muted and fall into the ‘nude or neutral’ category. As I’m sure you’ll know, Weleda is all about natural.
In the swatch (although these are densely swatched… they’re lighter when smoothed out on the lip) is Nude, Berry Red and Rose. I think if you can put together a nourishing balm with a glossy finish and a trend shade, you’re on a winner because winter is so harsh on the lips.
The balms are a blend of jojoba oil, olive oil, shea butter and sunflower seed wax. I didn’t find them particularly long lasting, but because they’re so gloss-like, it doesn’t feel out of place to me to be reapplying. They’ve got a slightly off putting vanilla/rose fragrance to them – you know when you feel you can taste a smell? Well, that. But I think they’re pretty good value as a balm/gloss hybrid at £6.95 HERE.
