The Great And Powerful Palettes are based around the forthcoming Disney film Oz: The Great & Powerful. What I like about UD shadows is that they are such a soft consistency and blend almost like no other. These palettes seem to have a very good mix of shimmer, glimmer and flat colours so you can really mix up textures as well as colours. The gold and silver shadows in the Glinda palette are a particular YES!

Theodora is easily my favourite with multiple shades that I would wear.

I like the inclusion of a 24/7 Eye Pencil and a lip shade (vampy red gloss for Theodora and pink-neutral for Glinda), and of course, an instruction leaflet for a get-the-look. Just as an fyi; the glosses are hidden inside the outer packaging box – you could easily miss them (as, er, I did!). They’re so light that they don’t even make the empty box feel any heavier.

For general information, Glinda is played by Michelle Williams and Theodora by Mila Kunis: if that isn’t enough to tempt you.. the male lead is James Franco…!). It opens in March so I guess the palettes will launch then, too. If you remember the Alice In Wonderland Book of Shadows, which totally sold out, UD and Disney collaborations tend to do really well, and although these tins lack the intricacy of the Alice ones, I think they’re great.
