Urban Decay Duochoromes

I love the fact that Urban Decay call their duochrome shadows ‘shifty’ because it’s such a good word for them – they’re the best duochromes around in my view due to their fabulous ‘shifting’ ability where they show different colour nuances in different lights. There are six new shades, bringing the duochromes to 12 in all, and a couple of new matte neutrals. The shades you see above are Backfire, Lounge and Sideline.

You can definitely see some shifting going on – I can’t wait to wear Lounge in a beetleback green with reddish tones on the shift.

Then, we have Riff, a neutral matte, followed by Dive Bar, Tonic and Fireball.

These are lighter in colour than the first three and not quite as impressive but Tonic, an iridescent lavender shade, looks incredible on the eye. Fireball is a peachy colour with a gold shift, so even if you don’t like full on duochromes, you can get a more gentle effect depending on which shades you choose.

I’m wondering if Lounge is like The Dress (is it blue or is it gold?) because I see it as green with red shift; Urban Decay describe it as red with green shift. This one could run and run! The Urban Decay New Eyeshadows 2015 launch later this month for £14 each.
