Stila Eyes Are The Window Palette
Stila Eyes Are The Window Palette

Oh, hey Stila, with your swanky new palettes! The Stila  Eyes Are The Window Eyeshadow Palette above is one of four new Stila palettes – they’re heading our way later in the year – that have launched onto Ulta.com. This is a very ‘grown-up’ look for Stila, who favours the cardboard casing, and the palettes are to mark 20 years of Stila. Each palette comes with a look-book and that’s a very handy thing. Not everyone instantly knows how to get the best from a palette, so how-to look-books just make life much easier if that’s the case.

Stila has had quite a journey – founded by make-up artist, Jeanine Lobel in 1994, it’s had several owners since then. It was scooped up by Estee Lauder in 1999 (I will never, ever forget their wet-look coloured mascara, designed to ‘make you look as though you’d just been crying’ – err… ) and sold on twice since then, losing a little bit of soul each time. Stila made ‘milky’ glosses way before anyone else did and I still mark a Stila gloss among my forever favourites. I still think Stila need to find its personality again, but I’m rarely disappointed with any Stila products – I doubt I’ll be disappointed with the Stila Eyes Are The Window Eyeshadow Palettes, either, so I’m looking forward to swatching them up.
