We have some amazing things coming for spring, which is just as well because we need something to look forward to here in London where it pouring with rain and blowing a gale.. bad hair day. Bad. So, today I’ve been here, there and everywhere looking at newness so I’m just going to chart my day so you can see where I’ve been.

So, I kicked off at The Body Shop (top picture and above; but that one missing eye is bothering me somewhat!), where their eyeshadows have been fully revamped – they’ve gone bright and bold with a beautiful texture.

The shades above are a selection of beautiful neutrals with a dash of hot pink.

 The full line-up!

Also, some lovely juicy glosses. This collection is scheduled for instore in about March time.

After a meeting over a quick cup of coffee in Liberty, I treated myself to this bracelet which is also doubling as my Accessory Wednesday offering!

It’s £48 and I can’t wait to wear it.

Next, it was off to the launch of the Jo Malone Sugar & Spice collection for Spring 2013. It was by this time bucketing down in London and a student march had the traffic quite literally gridlocked so let’s just say by the time I got there, glam had gone. In fact, I think my make-up had been entirely washed off!

I will revisit everything in more detail, but for now, the line up is Elderflower & Gooseberry (disappointingly short on scent), Lemon Tart (fabulously zesty), Redcurrent & Cream (like a patisserie fruit tart), Bitter Orange & Chocolate (the Jaffa Cake reinvented) and Ginger Biscuit (warm, homely and delicious).

Jo Malone had taken over a cake and coffee shop in Covent Garden and it was so beautifully presented – the window was crammed with puddings that reflected the fragrances.

Things like this are an absolute treat.

For the Sugar & Spice Collection, Jo Malone has revved up the packaging. What do you think?

With traffic still at a stand-still I then ran up Regent Street to the next launch – this time, Nearly Naked from Revlon. Personally, although the focus is on the new Nearly Naked foundation, I was in nude nail heaven!

Revlon have updated their collection of nude polishes with a selection of shades to suit all skin tones. Ideally, you wear the nude that is as close to your own tone as you can get. My nearest tone was a shade I wouldn’t have chosen (although I like it on) but my absolute favourite is Nude Beige.

From the little finger to the thumb: Natural Pink. Nude Beige, Natural Tan, Rose Beige and Mocha (there are more but .. only five fingers!).

I’ll do swatches of the foundation later in the week, but for now, targeting a young market, the Nearly Naked Foundations are beautifully dewy with a weightless feel and don’t have that heavy coverage look. It’s all about emphasising your skin as it is. It launches in February 2013.

Finally, and literally drenched (and very annoyed that my £180 Kurt Gieger boots were so unwaterproof that I was squelching in them), I zipped by the Uggs store (above – erm, not me in chair! I really don’t do that in shops..) at Piccadilly. I know that Uggs divide a nation, but I have to say that I loved what I saw.. I don’t object to Uggs at all on looks or anything else. In fact, I spotted a pair of fleece lined, suede trainers that are going to be mine no matter what (and I wouldn’t mind the chair either!). And that’s my last Accessory recommendation for this Wednesday – the Evera Trainers are £95.

So that was my day.. whew! Yours, cold, wet, tired, happy, BBB x
