Of course while I was in France my inbuilt Sephora antennae was in excellent working order and when we stopped off in Sete I dived into a very small branch. I found these cute little one-shot shower gels in every scent imaginable, from carmel to raspberry, and love the idea of a different scented shower every day.
The downside of the Sephora joy was France’s most officious security guard who thought he was protecting the crown jewels and had a proper attitude issue with me taking this picture. He also had a mini-melt down when my companion opened a drawer, and the shop assistant, clearly trained at the same charm school because the efffffffort (including major eye rolling) it took to find out the price of a product was a mini-drama. We left empty handed, but if lunch hadn’t gone on so long I would have returned and asked for twenty five more prices… and opened a few more drawers and still would have left with nothing.

What a shame they were so rude to you! They were actually OK when I went in.
However, I’d have gone a step further than you and actually grabbed a handful of the gels and dropped them all over the floor in a large scatter!!! PS love the blog…
Wish they had these at my Sephora when I was there is week..hopefully one day:)

It saddens me (I am very sad at the moment:) that Sephora is no longer in UK – there used to be one in Solihull and it was fabulous, so fabulous, Uniqlo used to be there too before it got all slick and moved to London and avoided W.Mids altogther – no longer sad but ranty now!
How cute. These would look so good just sat around the bathroom all multi coloured.
Shame about the silly security guard tho 🙁
they look really cute shame about the store staff x
Shame about the excessive and unecessary packaging! X
I have found that Sephora staff in the US are the same way – it’s either a great experience or they would rather you eff off.
The Sephora staff in the US can be the same way – either super nice and give you samples of everything or they act like doing their job is the most taxing experience for everyone involved.
haha what awful service! But these look SO much fun
I recently saw an article that the French have been voted as the rudest in the world. I too experienced rude services with French sales assistants…
The showers gels look so cute! I’m off to france on tuesday, hope the staff are nice 😐 as my french is non-existant. I was really looking forward to sephora aswell :/
Shame you didnt have a great experience 🙁

This look very cute. They remind me of those pods of yoghurt you can get. I really like the idea of caramel shower gel. However, don’t see how useful these would be, wouldn’t travel to well to be a travel mini I wouldn’t expect?
I so want this in my bathroom, then it would be complete! 😉

I wouldn’t say the French are the rudest people in the world… but even French people know that the staff at Sephora’s are usually useless, or not so helpful anyway. And security guards look at you as if you were planning to rob the entire store, I agree!
I still enjoy going to Sephora when I go home, their range is quite nice, but I prefer Boots any time!
The shower gels look really cute! But shame about the service, I really hate it when you’re followed round a shop by the security guard!
That’s such a shame. i’ve been to several Sephora’s in France and had great service. One shop staff even offered me a bag full of testers, and another for my boyfriend (who wasn’t even with me at the time).
That said, bad customer service can really put you off a store/brand so I understand!
I’ll have one of everything, please 🙂
