The living wall at the Roget et Gallet pop up

I love all things Roget et Gallet – their Jean Marie Farina is Mr BBB’s favourite – and it is one of those brands you think is going to be far more expensive than it really is. It’s a failsafe for gifts – especially for men.

Rose Imaginaire

I went along to their pop up shop at St Martin’s Lane Hotel yesterday (it’s finished now) to see the launch of Rose Imaginaire, which is quite a fragrance. It’s both fruity and musky and must be allowed to settle on the skin to get the final, gorgeous dry down rather than just smelling it on a paper tab. Despite it’s pink packaging and name, this clever concoction contains no rose at all. Instead, mandarin (very green), strawberries, violet, jasmine, sandalwood and patchouli. Every single fragrance would like theirs to be labeled as sensual as it is such an evocative and powerful word, but this one, in my view, really is. It looks rather innocent, but actually should be wearing that cheeky lace mask from my Givenchy post!

It launches later this month for £39.75.

I cheekily swiped some of the sweetie wrapped samples from the pop-up to create my own little R&G dish of delish at home.

Guarding the Gallet!

And, also discovered this beautiful book documenting 150 years of R&G, with little integral envelopes, pull outs and the grand finale of a set of tiny samples embedded in the back. Bliss!
