Earlier in the year I reported that Rodial were beavering away in the labs formulating a lifting face mask – I’ve just been given two very precious sample pots, and managed to try it out almost straight away. Firstly, I have to say, it stings! For about 3 seconds. Then it feels just like any other mask. I left it on for the required 5 minutes (slightly longer, probably as it became a bit too dry) and then whipped it off gommage style (gently flicking away the mask with fingers in circular motions). Once the last residues of mask had flaked away, my skin was left feeling ultra soft – as though I’d just had a micro-dermabrasion treatment – and looking really very perky and fresh. I can’t swear it ‘lifted’, but it’s certainly a treatment that leaves a lasting impression; it visibly improved the look of my complexion, so in my book, it works.

Rodial is all set to launch their newest product, Glamtox Peel Mask – a ten minute face lift. It’s no secret that I break out into a sweat if I’m parted from Glam Balm for even one night, so I’m really looking forward to trying this out. The clay-based mask is a rub-off formula (a la French style gommage) so right from the get-go you can be sure that it’s going to leave your skin ultra smooth and soft. Available from November, it will retail for 70 pounds. One for your Christmas list I think!
