NIOD Photography Fluid 12%

More products from the Deciem crew! So far I’ve had huge success with the two NIOD products I’m using – I’m so impressed with them and currently using them daily. Sorry to report though that HIF is a bit of a fail as far as my hair is concerned. Having to wash your hair again because the first co-wash was so bad isn’t my ideal start to the day. However, I’ve heard good feedback about it from others so maybe it’s just me and my hair that just aren’t suited to the formula.

I think that NIOD Photography Fluid 12% is probably going to sell out the day it goes on sale at Victoria Health. It’s a light refractive fluid with a serum texture that’s specifically developed for snaps of yourself – if you think of the billions of selfies going out each day, it’s quickly going to be renamed Liquid Selfie. It’s got tone and colour correctors and light reflecting prisms that you can use under foundation or mix it up with your base.

To be more specific about what NIOD Photography Fluid 12% contains I’d really need to write an essay – but as a top line guide you’ll find Bio-Silica Photo Finishing Prisms Grades 3, 7 and 9 (ultra fine refractive particles). Then, Nano-Prismatic Blurring Suspension (enhances activation of copper peptides contained within the product). Nano-Prismatic Yellow-Red Hue Corrector that blanks out red tones and minimizes yellow tones. Nano-Prismatic Gold Technology (gives a golden hue to skin) and Dragon Fruit Chromatic Refractor (bio fruit complex to give immediate radiance).

I cannot wait to get my hands on this! However, I was absolutely convinced that I’d love HIF and I actually hate it so other than give you the heads up that NIOD Photography Fluid 12% is on its way, I don’t want to dive in and say it’s going to be the best thing since sliced bread, based on my experience of NIOD so far, it has all the makings of being a stellar product so as soon as I’ve tested it out, I’ll report back. What I will say about it is that it’s £20 which seems remarkably well priced for such a product.

Keep your eyes firmly on Victoria Health in June! I’m currently using Copper Amino Isolate Serum, £38 (HERE) and the Hyaluronic Complex, £38 (HERE).

Sorry to hear you’re not getting on with HIF – I have the Volume Support and it is amazing. Used it six time now and the cumulative effect is very impressive. I have very fine hair that usually looks lank by the end of the second day after washing, but with the HIF it looks freshly washed 48 hours later. I don’t know which version you have but it might be worth trying another one? Plus I only use a very small bit at a time – maybe the size of a large hazelnut?

I can’t wait to try the Photography fluid, and I’d be on the NIOD products in a flash except that I have the Hylamide (which, to be fair, is also excellent) to use up! I have to thank you for introducing me to Deciem products with your rave about the IY hand cream – I’m still using it and the age spots on the back of my hands have completely faded.

I spoke with them… turns out I used the only one that doesn’t foam (hydrating) so I’m going to have a go with another one and see if I fare any better. Not everything is for everyone and it’s maybe that it just didn’t work for me. Yes, I can’t think of a product from that company that doesn’t do its job.. it’s brilliant.

  2. I want to try everything this brand has ever released…

I’ve been using the Hylamide products (amazing!). I plan on alternating with the copper products. Now I can’t wait to try the Photography Fluid 12%. It’s wonderful using products that really work.

I, too, am struggling with HIF. I have persevered for three weeks and end up having to re-wash with my trusted Phyllia. No bad thing in itself, but I really wanted to love this as the concept is refreshingly innovative.

I tried HIF Growth. Found it really difficult to use the waxy paste and the smell wasn’t pleasant either. I don’t know if it would have made my hair looked nice as it irritated my scalp and I had to re-wash my hair.
