Oh, lookie! The lovely NARS compact foundation has arrived – and it is pretty lush. I love, above all, that there is a decent colour selection for darker skin tones. It’s described as a medium to full, buildable coverage, which sounds just about perfect going into autumn.
The interior is pretty smart – although unless you are super-tidy and clean your sponge every day that’s the one big drawback to cream compact foundations.. grubby sponge. It’s described as professional grade make up, comes in 20 tones and boosts moisture levels too. It’s suitable for all skin types other than very oily. Weirdly, the case is sold separately to the sponge and foundation refill – the refill is £28 and the case is £6. It launches in September.

It looks very similar to the SUQQU and RMK cream compact foundations. Also sold with the case and refill separately. I guess it makes it cheaper in the long run but it only pays off if you really like the foundation.
I’m curious about it, I love the SUQQU and RMK versions. But Ellis Faas is also coming out with a similar version, so maybe I should just wait a bit.
By the way, most of these foundations apply really well with a brush if you don’t want to use the dirty sponge. And are also very useful as a concealer.
