Beauty blogging has taught me to appreciate tools much more than I ever used to before I had a blog. I didn’t even really know that brushes were a ‘thing’ and that they could make such a difference to make-up application. So, the new 16 strong NARS Artistry Brushes have caught my attention much more than they might have in the past.

For brush afficianados, they’re designed by Francoise Nars and Fabien Baron (of New York design firm Baron & Baron). Who knew you needed a ‘designer’ specifically for brushes? They’re also carefully weighted for ease of use (again.. who knew?) and feature the signature pop of red on the bottom.

I’m straight away reminded of another brand that made red soles their signature! I won’t go through each one individually, but be warned, these aren’t cheap by any stretch of the imagination. The large Bronzer Brush that you see in the picture is £40, and so is the Powder Brush. They’re topping the price bracket; but the cheapest brush is the lip brush at £23. Even though I appreciate their elegance and use, I still think I’d rather splash out on a lipstick.

The NARS Artistry Brushes launch on 1st April at Selfridges and then from 15th April nationwide.
