I’m still having to rope in friends who will let me paint their nails til I’ve taken off my Shellac, so thanks to Sue for lending her hands!

The Nailtiques Nail Lacquer With Protein, £10.95 each, range hasn’t launched in the UK yet, but look out for it from June at www.beautybay.com and www.lookfantastic.com. The polishes are infused with the same protein blend as the Nailtiques treatments which should mean that those with weak nails won’t find them as harsh as other polishes to wear and (they say) the colours will actually help to strengthen nails. The varnishes are beautiful quality with a very glossy finish but I did struggle a bit with the brush that doesn’t seem to load up very well.

Organic Glam nail polish from The Organic Pharmacy is a brand new area for them, but they’ve stormed in with a line-up of 29 shades. Free from DBP, Formaldehyde and Toluene, they’re £9.99 each. I have a shot of this fuchsia shade but Sue below is wearing Tangerine. The quality is lovely; it definitely needs two or more coats though, and the brush is really easy to work with. I’ve checked online and they aren’t quite there yet, but should be any minute now.
