There has been a lot of consternation that Max Factor Second Skin is about to hit the dust and disappear from our shelves. It’s more annoying than I can say because it has been an absolutely favourite that behaves just as nicely as any premium foundation.
However, I suppose if I’d thought it through, I would have realised that of course there an upgrade on the horizon. Max Factor All Day Flawless 3-In-1 Foundation is primer, concealer and foundation in one with an SPF of 20. It will come in 6 shades for £11.99. The plus is that it is contains longwear polymers that adjusts throughout the day without drying out so you should look skin-fresh all day – that’s the theory.. I haven’t put it to the test yet. The downside is that it is matte – apparently not that ‘flat’ matte, but something with a bit of life to it. The formula also contains ‘oil absorbers’ which makes me suspicious that it won’t be great for dryer skins like mine.. but we shall see!

Hmm from the description, I’d be all over that. Oil absorbers? Yes please! Might have to try it out.
This sounds interesting, I definitely want to try this. I wish you could buy sample sizes of foundation in the shops, that way you could get a feel for without forking out everything, £12 is a lot for me!
