The MAC Zac Posen launches as an on-line exclusive on 25th February. My first impression was that it is rather gloomy, but up close, I couldn’t be more wrong. It’s a tightly edited selection with one eye palette, three lipsticks, a mascara, a liner, a blush and a couple of brushes. I never really take any notice at all of the brushes in the limited collections. Certain pieces from the MAC Zac Posen collection are shoe-ins for spring, such as the Powder Blush Haute Contour (£25) above, when skin needs a little warm up in the form of light contour and a peachy blush.

I’ve used an eye brush to show the colours, but when they’re diffused, they’re a whole other story in terms of warming and brightening in a very subtle way.

I think we can safely say that all the WOW is in the matte lipstick! Above is Dangerously Red – a blue toned and pinkish red.

Next, it’s Darling Clementine, also matte, that’s a smack down of bright tangerine orange. Both lipsticks are £17 each.

See what I mean?! Delicious and happy brights. If you look at his spring 2016 collection, you’ll see that a bright lip is definitely his thing.

In fact, it’s put me properly in the mood for white-with-bright but the weather is against me on this one.

The Fluid Liner in Retro Black is as described really – I still can’t use these with any reliability but on my arm, it formed a beautiful, dense, black line. Shame I can’t translate that to my lid! It’s £19.50. I’ll show you the palette when I get it, but expect heathery tones.
