I was absolutely convinced I wouldn’t like the MAC The Simpsons collection. Adamant, in fact. But as it turns out, I really do like it. It’s fun, the colours are great and with the exception, maybe, of the yellow gloss, it’s all very wearable. I don’t have the full collection here, but above is Red Blazer Lip Glass (confusingly, it’s bright pink) and peeping out of the TV is Pink Sprinkles Powder Blush. Oh, and Marge is modelling the colour in the pic!

The next Lipglass shade is creamy orange Grand Pumpkin (Marge also modelling), and the ones I don’t have – maybe it’s for the best – Itchy & Scratchy & Sexy in electric blue violet and Nacho Cheese Explosion in a neon lime yellow. And we thought Viva Glam Rihanna 2 was a challenge!

Here’s Powder Blush Pink Sprinkles in close up – a mid-pale pink with blue tones. And Marge looking suspicious.

And.. the nail wraps. What can I say? You probably need to be a die-hard Simpsons fan to wear these, but as someone who has worn Keith Lemmon nail wraps, I really can’t criticise.

There are also two eye Palettes: That Trillion Dollar Look and Marge’s Extra Ingredients, both £33, some amazing Marge lashes, £11.50. The Lipglass is £16, the Powder Blush is £28 (a peach shade is online only) and Nail Stickers are £11.

MAC The Simpsons Collection launches on 4th September at freestanding MAC Stores or online.
