Honestly, the L’Oreal Paris Pure Reds collection is f.a.b.u.l.o.u.s! It’s put a spring right back in my beauty step and if you love red lippie, it’s a given that these will rock your red lipped world!

So, first we have the four celebrities; Liya, Eva, Julianna and Blake, each with the best red for their skin tone. The biggest excitement is probably Julianna with a red for red-heads. In the promo pick it looks rather orange, but it’s far from it; Julianna is a pink-toned red (some might say it’s not actually a true red) that to my eye has some coral notes to it as well, and although Eva is the correct red for my skin colouring, I am really drawn to the Julianna shade.

So, the line up is Liya, Eva, Blake and Julianna.

From bottom to top: Liya, Eva, Blake, Julianna. Blake is indicated for fair tones and has blue notes in it, while Eva is brickish. Liya is the most ‘red’ with some orange in the mix.

The formula of L’Oreal Paris Pure Reds is matte, and I don’t like mattes at all, but it’s one of the most forgiving mattes that I’ve come across. The lipsticks have off the scale pigment, and they actually feel comfortable on the lip – there is a lot of moisture in them. When I test a matte lipstick, I can feel dryness starting within the hour – genuinely not so with L’Oreal Paris Pure Reds. The result looks like a demi-matte, but feels like a sheen on the lip.

I absolutely love this range – massively high performing products for £6.99 a pop. It’s making the £25+ lipsticks look ridiculously over-priced and not in the least bit special. If you’re a red lip lover, GO!

L’Oreal Paris Pure Reds launch this month – they haven’t quite made it on-line yet, but any day now.
