I genuinely think that women are more experimental with their lipsticks now than they ever were and I am sure it’s because of bloggers and swatching. Not only do we get to see what the products look like, and usually a good description and an opinion as well, but it’s the constant drip-drip of looking at women experimenting with colour that has had a wider effect. These Metal lipsticks are a good case in point. A metallic lipstick is something that in the past I would run from and not even consider as an option but even for the lipstick-scared like me, they’re looking like a viable and enticing option.

Far from being garish, they’re just beautiful smears of sheeny colour – the Metal Red shade has little flecks of glitter – that are definitely statement but not shouty. Metal Nude has a shot of gold in it while Metal Wine is a more sparky version of a sheen.

They’re £22 each HERE.
