I am rather obsessed with Les Merveilleuses Ladurée. Some of my favourite and techologically forward products come from this brand – the nearest place we can source it in the UK is from Sephora.fr. Otherwise, it’s frustratingly hard to get hold of. Les Merveilleuses Ladurée Spring 2015 is as usual a collection of whimsy and rose fragranced colour. The packaging is everything with this range, and the spring design is lucky things – clovers, ladybirds and horseshoes (hate to say it, but Chanel have already pretty much taken this category already).

The Petite Eye Color Collection, above, comes in three colourways, in a beautiful patterned package.

I’m also quite happy to see that Essence (from yesterday’s post) are right at the top of the brush trend tree – this Les Merveilleuses Ladurée Spring 2015 brush with lilac ombre is EU52! The Essence version is a few quid at most.

The problem with Les Merveilleuses Ladurée is that it is SO expensive – it would take a brave retailer in the UK to take it on. Quirky brands such as this, even though they offer a gorgeous point of difference, really struggle against Lauders and the like in beauty world, and it has no natural fit unless it was sold in Laduree stores as an addition to the tea and cakes. I imagine that’s a whole other thing, mixing food and beauty.

Nonetheless, I still think it’s makeup to treasure because the packaging is so exquisite. I still have my beautiful Face Color with individual ‘rose’ petals that you swirl with a brush to get colour and it is easily one of my most treasured beauty products.
