The fall collection for Laura Mercier is very matte and moody; intially I wasn’t completely convinced about it – until I swatched the two tightliners, in Deep Teal and Ground Espresso, £18.50.  If you haven’t tightlined before, it’s a revelation in deep, smoked eyes. Basically, you wet a flat brush, make a firm paste on the Cake Liner by mixing the water and the powder together (you hardly need any water). Once you have a good amount on the brush you can then line the upper and lower inner lids – believe me, it’s an intense look. Hold your upper lid open for a few seconds to let it set properly.
