Exciting news for beauty buffs; Jouer is launching in the UK at Cult Beauty who are uploading the products as I write so do check in. The range reminds me a bit of Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown in that the colours I was sent to try are those flattering neutrals that both other brands do so well. And as it turns out, Jouer does them beautifully as well!

If you don’t know the Jouer range, it was launched in 2008 in the US where it has gained a huge following. It’s USP is that almost all the make-up products can lock together to create a bespoke palette, like this

so you can get exactly what you want in a portable compact.. even the gloss locks in and that’s a first, I think.

The shades I was sent to try are absolutely perfect – especially the cheek tint which is almost identical to the Laura Mercier one in the Bonne Mine palette and I’ve been looking for a dupe ever since I got the Bonne Mine.

Swatched above are Powder Shadow in Caramel, a warm golden shade, Cheek and Lip Tint in Petal and Lipgloss in Mirage – all warming neutrals and very flattering to an olive skin tone like mine.

Individually, the Tint is £16, Lipgloss is £16, Powder Shadow is £16 and Bronzer (with mineral SPF39) is £24.

The big, big seller in the USA is Luminizing Moisture Tint, £29, which is an oil free base with SPF20; it lives up to expectation as far as luminosity goes and contains some powerful skincare ingredients too, but what I like most about it is that you can buy it in mini sizes to throw in your handbag, pocket, travel bag etc. A set of four minis is £16. It’s not a best-seller for nothing, so if you love LM Tinted Moisturiser and Bobbi Tinted Moisturiser, you’ll also love this and probably more.

As I mentioned, the girls at Cult are uploading as I’m writing so you might need to visit a couple of times to see the full range. It will all be up and available by end of play Sunday. www.cultbeauty.co.uk
