I have never been so tempted to book a make up course than I am right now! I don’t think I’d leave the house wearing the design shown, but I think I’d just be happy knowing I could do it myself if I ever wanted to.
The new season of Illamasqua Make Up Courses is about to start – having had my make-up done for a Blogger Disguise Challenge last Halloween (and turning out very green!) I’ve seen the Illamasqua artists at work and it’s beyond impressive. I remember getting a tweet from someone very disappointed that even though I am a beauty blogger, I’m not skilled to make-up artist level (I think it was “omg you can’t even do make up – unfollow”) but I’ve always been quite happy with what I can do (apart from my lack of contouring skills). BUT – it’s very tempting to think I could learn the above!
This particular course is Eye Lining Designs – it’s 2 hours and costs £60. If you fancy booking a course, the link is HERE.

That tweet: what a mean thing to say. What you do–info on upcoming releases, honest product reviews, etc–you do brilliantly. Glad you didn’t let that stop you.
I attended the 5 day course in June and it was absolutely brilliant. The instructors were lovely and it was a great environment to learn in. I would highly recommend them as I am sure anyone who has been to their makeup school would.
Can’t believe someone was so rude to you Jane! You don’t expect a sports journalist to be a champion athlete….some people…
One of the (many) things that I love your writing so much is that you write as a person that doesn’t have make up qualifications. I know that the things you review don’t take an artist to apply.
In fact I find your writing make me feel better about myself- I’m over 40 and love make up and you make me know I am not alone & shouldn’t feel shallow for loving it. It’s empowering in a way
So stuff em.
aww..thank you!
