I expect that I Coloniali will shudder with horror that I’m mentioning them in the same sentence as Impluse or Lynx but body sprays are generally a category of their own with no authentic relation to fragrance at all. But, I like the idea of a body spray – a quick swoosh of something rather lovely that doesn’t over perfume and doesn’t just fragrance your neck or wrists.

I was sent the collection of new I Coloniali Seductive Elixir Body Mists (£12.50 each) and they are that level up that moves them away from the more traditional (or heavily advertised!) view of body fragrancing. That’s no surprise really, when you realise that these body sprays didn’t come about from flinging some chemicals together in the hopes that they’ll smell like teen lust; the I Coloniali collection is designed by ‘noses’ in Grasse so they’ve all got some substance and legs and couldn’t be further from Impulse!

Playful Lychee so far is my favourite, although I have yet to work through all eight of them and also Mysterious Rose. You have to like Vanilla though – because with the exception of Playful Lychee and Mysterious Rose, it’s in all of them. Mostly people adore vanilla so don’t take any notice of my vanilla free recommendations!

Anyway, you can find them at Marks & Spencer Beauty, or on-line HERE
