Yes, I’m having a self-indulgent moment here, because there is only the most tenuous link to beauty in this post. But, if you read BBB regularly, you’ll know I’m a sucker for this little kitty, and the news that the UK will have its own Hello Kitty Secret Garden has made me happy.
However, to the very tenuous beauty link, although it’s not going to be an attraction on the Japanese Hello Kitty theme park level – nowhere near, in fact – as well as a hopper ride, a Hello Kitty car ride and a tea cup ride, there’s also a Hello Kitty bedroom and beauty parlour with regular meet and greet sessions. I don’t really have any info on the scale of this and to be fair, it does sound like it’s aimed primarily at children. I’ll really have to borrow some so I don’t feel too silly whizzing around in a Helly Kitty tea-cup.
The Secret Garden is hosted by Drusillas Park in East Sussex and is scheduled for a spring opening. There had better be a gift shop.

There was talk some years ago about doing a Hello Kitty Tea House in central London.. no idea why that never happened but I can tell you, I’d be like Norm from Cheers with my own special cup and stool – I’d love to have all my meetings in there!
