I think you have to consider Guerlain Terracotta After Summer Powder as more of a tinted powder than a bronzer. It’s very light, so of course would work on very pale tones that find it difficult to take bronzing of any sort. It’s also highly perfumed. To me, this makes it even more glamorous – you open the lid and it kind of bursts out at you, but if you don’t like fragranced products, it’s one to avoid.
As you can see, it’s very light on bronzy tones – this is two swipes on top of each other. So, it’s not really suitable for the height of holiday season.. more for when tan is fading down just to keep that bonne mine look a little longer. I’m not sure I’d be happy with the high fragrance on my face so I’d personally be looking to put a swoosh over legs or shoulders. The fragrance is all things holiday-ish, tiare, suncream, hotness.. and the white packaging is limited edition. Oh, I should say that it seems fairly matte other than the gold in the middle which is an overspray so you can either go golden for a brief moment or wipe it away and go matte.
Guerlain Terracotta After Summer Powder is also super-size – I think this would see you through summer after summer – I’m curious to meet the woman that could burn through one of these in a single season but also curious to know how the fragrance will hold over til next year.
Guerlain Terracotta After Summer Powder is £47.50 HERE.

How can such a price tag be justified……..?!!! It may be a beautiful compact but let’s get real Guerlain! Is a giant size even necessary? How about making portable-sized compacts which are only meant to last one season (& with a sensible price!) so we can take them on holiday etc….?
I use their usual pressed powder and the scent stays for as long as it takes for me to finish one and I tend to use two in tandem so definitely over a year. I love the old fashioned violet scent of the standard powders.
I also didn’t bat an eyelid at the price. Almost seems cheap for Guerlain >.<
