Guerlain Blanc de Pearle
Guerlain Blanc de Perle

I’m not really a fan of whitening products but Guerlain has done a stellar job of making them look utterly irresistible. Believe it or not, the Blanc de Perle line was first launched in 1830. While in the 1800s, women had largely moved on from using lead and copper as skin whiteners, anything would be an improvement on those toxic ingredients. Needless to say, skin whitening has taken on many variations between then and now, but what hasn’t changed is the notion that paler, brown-mark free complexions are considered more youthful (I disagree). Touching on the ingredients, it’s pearl extracts and a formula that reduces melanin production as well as diminishing brown marks.

In its pristine state, I think the is the most beautiful foundation compact I’ve ever seen! It’s the Radiance Booster Sculpting & Brightening Foundation, SPF20, with three shades within each compact so you can highlight and sculpt or blend to changing skin tone.

The new Blanc de Perle range launches at the end of February and includes a Sleeping Mask, Day and Night Serums, a contouring blush and those beautiful Meteorites.
