A very interesting Autumn/Winter 2012 from Givenchy, created by Nicolas Degennes, and not at all what I was expecting. It’s all about light-seeking with darker shades so there are plenty of metallic elements but also a smack of sparkle that is enchanting. Acoustic Colors pays reference to finding harmony between colour, sound and emotion and while that’s a connection I’m struggling to make completely, I definitely feel emotional – in a good way – about Le Prisme Yeux Acoustic Quator because I would wear each and every shade from the quad to the very last drop! I love a dark lid but when you have that much shimmer as well, it’s a stunning look. Liv Tyler, who fronts the Givenchy collection has contributed too, with two shades for lips. This collection gives us a little glimpse into make-up trend six months from now and none of it goes on counter til much later in the summer, so if you love to peek ahead into forward looks, here we go!
