Armani Runway Palette 2017

If you love luxy beauty, this little collection will have you swooning. Each item comes in its own satin bag using a runway 2017 print and as usual, the Palette is two tier – underneath the bronzer are three eye colours – but this time has a fabric-like cover on the top.

The only thing I had a problem with in swatching is the blue shade in the palette. It looks much more ‘giving’ than it actually is although I later tried it with a soft brush (rather than a swatch sponge tip) and it does diffuse nicely. It just doesn’t give a pan-to-skin level of accuracy, meaning that the colour you see isn’t necessarily the colour you get on your eyes.

I know that there is a core of collectors for the Runways which accounts for them selling out quite quickly usually. I love the nude gloss (image this with a smouldering blue smoky eye – perfect combination: it’s making me think of Sam from Pixiwoo for some reason) although the eye-tint is too bold for me, personally. The final swatch is the bronzer and I think it’s quite a suit-all shade (not very dark tones, though) and I don’t detect any shimmer.

Somehow, prices don’t seem to put people off Armani – if I had to buy it myself, there are one or two key items from the brand that I would be happy to splash out on but I’m not sure they’d be the palette at £89 (HERE). The Runway Eye Tint is £35 (HERE) and there’s no sign anywhere of the Laquer. I’ve been trying out a black Armani Kohl and it is the blackest, softest, most intense that I’ve ever come across. The downside is that I seem to get it everywhere! I’ve realised it needs a very sharp tip for absolute accuracy otherwise it catches in bottom lashes (it’s £19 HERE if you’re handy with a khol!).
