I trialled this treatment a few months ago on my bottom lashes and have had it done several times since then. It’s a very good ‘in-between’ option for those who don’t want the hassle or expense of extensions but struggle with mascara. Perfect for weddings or holidays because it doesn’t budge for a full two weeks – you might even scrape three to four out of it – no matter how many waves you surf or tears of joy you cry!

A friend with very pale and quite short lashes stood in so I can show you some comparisons between before and after – the treatment doesn’t give you that ‘false lash effect’ thing, but it does turn your lashes blacker than black and therefore gives a beautiful framework for all your other make-up. Basically, semi-permanent mascara uses a long-last coating and is not an extension treatment. It still isn’t a cheap option, but BBB readers can get £10 off a home-visit treatment (sorry folks it’s in the London and Surrey areas). The usual cost is £80. Simply head over to www.fluttereyes.co.uk and quote BBB when you phone to book. The offer lasts for one month from today, so ends on 7th August 2011.

Before

After

Just so you are prepared, you will need to have your eyes taped so the coating doesn’t get on your skin or the inside of your eyes and the process takes about 45 minutes.
