If you don’t know Phyllis Cohen’s work, she’s responsible for the amazing and intricate body artistry involved in creating trompe l’oeil and 3D effects such as painted-on jeans that you will have very likely seen in ads (see above from Vichy Lipo-Metric) and style magazines. She is one of those behind-the-scenes talents that the make-up artistry world can’t really do without.

She debuted her new range, Face Lace, at the Corrie Nielsen show at London Fashion Week on Friday and it is quite simply stunning. I’d love to wear it, possibly more on the body than face, but nonetheless it’s truly statement making.
With prices starting at £13.95, the embellishments aren’t bank-breaking either. And to use them couldn’t be simpler: just peel off and stick on. You can’t buy them til March so for now, check out the ones you want to wear over at www.face-lace.com

Personally, I’d be adding a little bit of neon liner to randomly colour and in keeping with SS12 looks, especially at festival time (okay, that’s a lie: I don’t do tents, but you know.. if I did).
