There are exciting times ahead for Elizabeth Arden who have upped their game in the make-up stakes in a very positive way.

The New York In Bloom collection is a considered selection of nude/neutral shades shot with brights such as teal and purple. Above is the very pretty Pure Finish Radiant Bronzing Powder (£27); it’s mineral based with an essential fatty acid and mineral formula.

Above is one of two Limited Edition Eye Shadow Trios, (£23) that can be applied
wet or dry. Bearing in mind that the new slogan for EA make-up is ‘make-up that does more’, meaning it’s infused with things that will be beneficial to the skin rather than neutral or working against it, the formula I found to be slightly different to other shadows. It’s a little bit harder to blend and work with and you do need to build the colours unless you want a very conservative look, but once you get the hang of it, they’re beautiful.

These don’t launch til next April, and there are plenty of other things coming, too, but I’ll hold off til a bit nearer the time on those. I just thought these are so fresh and pretty that they’re a bit of a boost!
